Hari Raya Event 2009
Me: eh your fuel dah nak habis
Abg kim: Don't worry nanti dia top-up sendiri
Me: huh? really
Ok and extract on the initial part of our convoy jalan raya. Me itchy hands wanted to have a go at the Honda Fit and though i had highlighted about the fuel to the owner he insisted with "You've got to trust me".
So from CCK it survived the journey to Marsling, next stop was Hougang. I was really insisting that we go top-up as my gut feeling said it would not survive the journey to Hougang. True enough, we were about 5 minutes drive away from the next person's home, i was cruising on the right most lane and the speedometer started to decline, i step on the accelerator but nothing happen. In my heart, oh no it's soo dead.
Me: Abg Kim your car is going to stop
Abg kim: Relax lah dont worry

And the car did stop immediately after that sentence. Haha panic like mad, first switch on hazard light, second get out of car to divert traffic. My cousin and aunt was in the car with me. Pakai baju lawa2 diri kat tepi jalan raya, sangat glam. Third call to get help, told Pak Long to get fuel so that the car can move. The most dangerous thing is that we were on the right most lane and to move left we would have to cut across two lanes to the nearest bus stop, and cars were passing by non-stop(we were along Hougang Ave 3, main road that leads Hougang to Eunos).
Eventually Pak Long came with a can of fuel, HOWEVER it wasn't enough to even start the ignition running Because the tank was dried to it's wits. Somehow the mature drivers also assume that the tank was design width wise, a second can was needed before the car could move to the nearest petrol station.
Never in my life had i experience such a thing, personally i would start to panic when the fuel indicator shows a quarter of tank and would refuel, if the warning light were to pop i would go into panic-crazy mode.
So that's our Hari Raya 2009 event of the year for you.
